We are delighted to announce the installation of a new memorial feature in the Walled Garden of Remembrance. A simple “Heaven Sent” mailbox has been placed near the small pergola, to the right as you enter the garden, beside the side wall of the Old Chapel. You are warmly invited to post messages or remembrances to loved ones, including birthday, anniversary or Christmas cards, as you wish.
The mailbox will be emptied regularly. At the end of each month, plain paper messages will be shredded, composted and returned to the earth as mulch, enriching the soil with much-needed carbon. Glossy or heavily coloured cards, which may contain chemicals harmful to soil and plants, will be shredded and recycled instead — supporting the environment and helping to reduce waste.
